McIntosh's MB20 transceiver

Go wireless with McIntosh’s MB20 Bluetooth transceiver

US audio giants McIntosh is launching its new MB20 transceiver, which can act as a Bluetooth interface to modernise or upgrade you hi-fi’s streaming experience.

Billed as an easy way to add McIntosh-quality wireless Bluetooth streaming to virtually any McIntosh (or non-McIntosh!) home audio system, this nifty little box is packed with features. Alongside a receiver mode for hearing music from smartphones and the like, it can also be used in transmit mode, letting you stream from your legacy physical media (such as CD and vinyl) to your Bluetooth headphones of choice.

The tech specs are also high, including a 32-bit/192 kHz DAC and Bluetooth 5 technology while offering support for a wide range of codecs, including the high bitrate Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) standard, plus Qualcomm® aptX™ HD for hi-res audio.
