Scandi audio specialists Primare has announced its NP5 Prisma MK2 network player will be released this August.
The model new model was developed because of a fire at the AKM chip factory, causing long-term disruption to supplies of the critical re-clocking chip at the heart of the NP5 Prisma’s design.
Primare has since sourced a readily available chip and redesigned the circuit to accommodate it while maintaining the performance of the original NP5. All features and functionality remain, with Spotify HiFi and Tidal Connect expected to join the its list of connections and features already available, including AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Chromecast built-in and Roon Ready.
