Stream lover

Audiolab is continuing to expand its burgeoning range with the introduction of its new flagship network player, the 9000N.

Joining the 9000A integrated amplifier and 9000CDT CD transport, the 9000N is built around an ARM processor and Linux-based operating system, with an ESS Technology ES9038PRO 8 channel DAC. It comes Roon Ready and offers access to a range of streaming services including AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect.

Audio support is as you’d expect for a flagship streamer, with the 9000N able to handle PCM files up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD up to 22.5MHz (DSD512) with file support for FLAC, Apple Lossless (ALAC), WAV, AIFF, MQA, native DSD in DSF and DIFF form, plus DoP (DSD over PCM).

Listeners can opt to upsample lower resolution PCM streams to 352.8kHz or 384kHz and select between five DAC reconstruction filters, for fine tuning the 9000N’s sound.

Outputs include balanced (XLR) analogue alongside single-ended (RCA) sockets plus S/PDIF optical and coaxial sockets on the digital side.

The 9000N costs £2,499 in black or silver. Find out more at audiolab.co.uk.
