Astell&Kern SP2000T copper

Added metal

Hi-end portable audio expert Astell&Kern has announced a limited edition copper nickel clad variant of its SP2000T portable digital music player.

Celebrated as the first to be built from a solid block of copper-nickel alloy, a material more commonly found in traditional brass instruments, the metal base was chosen as for its deep signature sound compared to aluminium.

Like the standard SP2000T, its internals are equally well specced with quad DACs and a triple amp system, allowing switching between a traditional op-amp mode, a vacuum tube amp or a hybrid of the two.

Priced at £2,399, fine out more at Astell&Kern.com.
