Adding to its flagship sub-brand, Rotel has revealed its new Michi Prestige P430 pre-amplifier and S430 stereo power amp.
Joining the recently released X430 integrated amp and partnering Q430 CD player, the P430 and S430 offer a dedicated pre/power option for customers wanting to build a fully fledged Michi Prestige system, which marries quality to a form that’s more compact then its bigger Michi brethren.
Engineered as a dedicated control component, the Prestige P430 caters for legacy and modern sources including vinyl, digital music libraries, computer audio, wireless Bluetooth, TV sound and legacy analog components.
At its core reside transparent signal paths, custom refined power-supply architecture and an ESS SABRE ES9028PRO 8-channel DAC on digital duties. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs join dual mono subwoofer sockets and a 1/4-inch headphone jack for a sensible suite of connectivity.
The partnering Prestige S430 power amp is blessed with plenty of power, as you’d perhaps expect from Rotel. It offers 230W per stereo channel into 8Ω loads (increasing to 390W into 4Ω), thanks to an oversized in-house-manufactured toroidal transformer, large bulk-storage capacitors, isolated signal routing, and multi-stage push-pull output transistors.
Balanced XLR and RCA inputs and dual gold-plated 5-way speaker terminals provide the connection flexibility needed for refined performance audio systems, while the front-panel TFT display with selectable VU meter and spectrum meter adds some elegant visual drama.
