Falcon Acoustics has launched the IMF200 Complete@Home loudspeaker kit. The package gives owners the chance to own and assembly their high-quality own three-way floorstanders at a more affordable price, by completing the final elements of assembly themselves.

The full kit comprises of Falcon drive units, birch ply cabinets, Falcon factory-assembled pre-wired crossovers and all the tools you’ll need to put them together. Build time is estimated at around two hours with no soldering required and if you get stuck, there’s also a handy YouTube video to guide you through it.

The design

The IMF200 is a three-way 1/4 wave transmission line design featuring a Falcon B139 bass driver with Falcon 5″ (127mm) B110 and T27 drive units (pair matched just like their Falcon LS3/5a siblings). Other components include precision CNC-engineered B110 retaining rings and factory-assembled, pre-wired and precision-matched crossovers with UK-made Falcon polypropylene capacitors. Their production-grade birch ply cabinets and made in Italy and come in a choice of walnut, light oak or rosewood natural wood veneers.

Standing at 1189mm with a claimed 86dB sensitivity and 8ohm nominal load, prices are £2,795 in walnut and light oak and £3,195 for rosewood.
