Fyne F500SP speaker in walnut - feature pic

Mighty Fyne standmounts

Scotland’s Fyne Audio has launched a new bookshelf speaker, the F500SP, with a design that’s based on its award-winning F500 cabinet and higher-end loudspeakers.

Joining the brand’s F501SP and F502SP floorstanders, the F500SP standmount is personally tuned by the company’s Technical Director, Dr Paul Mills after being handcrafted in Fyne’s Glasgow factory.

Available in high gloss white, black and lacquered walnut. Front grilles are also included, attached via hidden magnets

Flare for design

The F500SP is point source speaker design built around a 150mm IsoFlare driver that’s based on the brand’s F700 IsoFlare unit. At its centre sits the same 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter with neodymium magnet that’s also carried over from the F700.

The F500SP’s cabinet and internals include high grade polypropylene capacitors and Van Den Hul Matched Crystal silver plated OFC internal wiring, housed within a high density fibreboard cabinet with the brand’s ‘BassTrax’ porting system mounted on a thick aluminium base plate.
