Wharfedale has introduced its all new Evo 5 loudspeaker series as an update to the Evo 4 models.
Upgrades include increased cabinet volumes, a new AMT high-frequency unit and enhanced mid/bass drivers.
Other proprietary improvements include a new ‘SilentWeave’ sound absorbing internal material, a new elastomer acoustic drive unit damping frame called ‘ResoFrame’ and matching ‘ResoSeal’ low-mass elastomer damping ring at their cone’s rear.
Their crossovers have also been reworked, along with their plinths and slot-loaded bass ports.
The five-strong range includes the Evo 5.1 two-way standmount at £549 per pair and 5.2 three-way standmount at £749 per pair. The 5.3 and 5.4 are both three-way floorstanders costing £1,099 and £1,399 per pair respectively, while the 5.C centre channel comes in at £549.
