Scotland’s Atlas Cables has announced not one but two mains management ranges with its Eos power cables and Modular Power Distribution blocks.
The Eos line-up consists of two cable designs, both featuring carbon loaded screening and ‘dual drain’ tech to reduce electromagnetic interference. The 4.0em model name is derived from its 4mm2 cross section, with the 2.5em sibling having (you guessed it) a 2.5mm2 cross section of twisted strands, both with anti-vibration filler to pack out the conductors within a soft PVC jacket, that’s then sheathed in a protective black fabric.
The Eos 4.0em costs £595 for a 1m length while the 2.5em costs £345 for the same run, both with IEC/13A plugs, other lengths are available up to 5m.
Complementing these, Atlas Cables Modular 4.0em and 2.5em power distribution blocks are robust six-way screened extension blocks housed in aluminium chassis, with each socket optimised for low contact resistance. An integrated direct ground drain path for screened interconnects and cables also offers a handy connection for the company’s Grun Coherent Earth system.
These are also available now, starting at £295 for Modular 2.5em and £865.00 for the Modular 4.0em, with the latter being designed to serve more power hungry hifi kit.
