Technics has teased the forthcoming launch of its SL-1200 55th Anniversary Edition, a new turntable celebrating 55 years of the iconic SL-1200 Series.
Scheduled for global release in September 2026, the new model pays tribute to a turntable lineage that has helped define DJ culture, shaped the evolution of club performance, and become one of the most recognisable decks in modern music history.
The SL-1200 55th Anniversary Edition will be globally limited to 12,000 units. Each turntable will feature an individually engraved anniversary badge with its serial number, underlining the collectable character of this commemorative release.
The anniversary edition comes in seven colourways (gold, blue, red, black, green, white, grey), with gold accents, including for its anodised S-shaped aluminium tonearm, strobe marks, knobs and buttons.
