Bowers & Wilkins has announced the next iterations its true wireless in-ear monitors, the Pi7 S2 and Pi5 S2.
Upgrades over the standard Pi7 and Pi5 include enhanced connectivity, longer earbud battery life and a range of new finishes.
With a full five hours of listening time before a recharge is needed, their Bluetooth range has also been extended up to 25m.
As the brand’s flagship earbud, the Pi7 S2 offers support for Qualcomm aptX Adaptive for hires music transmission up to 24-bit/48kHz. Their four 9.2mm bespoke drive units feature high-frequency ‘balanced armatures’, with each driver powered by its own amplifier.
The Pi5 S2 uses TWS technology for robust, high-quality earbud-to-earbud synchronisation for aptX streaming up to 16-bit/44kHz. Each bud sports single 9.2mm bespoke drive units and twin built-in microphones for high-quality phone call support.
True colours
Both models can also be controlled via Bowers & Wilkins Music App to configure their noise cancellation modes and wear sensor adjustment alongside integration with music streaming services including Qobuz, TIDAL and Deezer.
The Pi7 S2 is available in Satin Black, Canvas White and Midnight Blue colour ways, while the Pi5 S2 gets Cloud Grey, Storm Grey and a vibrant Spring Lilac paint job, with Sage Green also available in late spring.
