Ultrafide U4PRE preamp

Perfect couple

Officially debuted at the UK Audio Show,  Ultrafide Audio has announced its Ultra Sigma hifi pre/power amps

Drawing on the company’s pro audio expertise from its MC2 Audio sister brand, both amps are aimed at the domestic market and feature pioneering tech.

The U4PRE features an analogue quad output topology, with minimal signal paths for low noise and distortion. Also included is a state-of-the art in-house adjustable phono stage for both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, plus single ended (RCA) and balanced (XLR) inputs/outputs and a digitally governed analogue circuit volume control.

The matching U500DC power amp sports a passive cooling system and push/pull modular output stage for ultra-low noise operation. It’s also DC coupled and offers 250W at 8 ohms (500W into 4 ohms) per stereo channel.

Handmade in Devon and priced at £4,500, find out more at Ultrafide Audio.
