Musical Fidelity is expanding its affordable B-Line of hifi electronics with the new B1xcd dedicated CD player.
Competitively priced at £549, it features a purpose-built CD transport (to the Red Book CD-DA standard), BlueTiger CD-88 servo system, ESS Technology’s SABRE SS9018Q2M DAC and an all-metal chassis.
The front-panel LCD displays track and time information, along with artist and track names where CD-Text is available, while its physical front panel controls and joined by supplied remote, making operation straightforward.
Analogue RCA outputs allow the B1xcd to connect directly to an amplifier, while coaxial and optical digital outputs allow it to used as a dedicated transport, feeding external DAC.
