Astell&Kern has unveiled the ACRO CA1000T which it claims to be the world’s first device featuring a dual-tube triple amp system, alongside the latest ESS flagship DAC chip.
Also sporting XLR and RCA outputs, wifi and Bluetooth to connect external audio devices and speakers, the ACRO is billed as a compact desktop audio solution.
At its heart beats dual Twin Triode KORG Nutube tubes and a balanced circuit that separates left and right channels with two vacuum tubes plus a triple Amp System, allowing users to select between tube amp, OP Amp, or a combination of both modes.
Alongside battery protection tech, the CA1000T offers support for native DSD up to 512 and PCM up to 32bit/768kHz plus MQA 16X, aptX-HD and Bluetooth 5.0.
