Welcome MAT

Legendary loudspeaker brand KEF has unveiled the latest generation of its R Series line-up.

The seven strong range now feature the brand’s ground-breaking Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) within its bespoke 12th generation Uni-Q drive units, which is a complex maze-like structure that’s designed to absorb unwanted vibration.

Other enhancements include a refined tweeter gap damper to tame resonance and flexible decoupled chassis to further prevents unwanted vibrations. Their hybrid aluminium bass drivers are also married to an enhanced crossover design with a finely-tuned signal path for a cleaner sound.

The range is comprised of a trio of floorstanders with the R11 Meta, R7 Meta and R5 Meta, the bookshelf R3 Meta, the R6 Meta and R2 Meta centre channel models and the R8 Meta surround speaker for Dolby Atmos users.
