Cambridge Audio is taking its stalwart CXA81 integrated amp to MKII status with a raft of upgrades, including no less than ten new premium components that have been added to its circuitry.
Offering 80W of Class AB power into 8 ohm stereo channels, it sports a new ESS ES9018K2M 32-bit SABRE DAC fed from optical, coaxial and USB digital inputs, alongside aptX HD Bluetooth (including for connection to its Alva TT V2 turntable).
On the analogue side, balanced XLR inputs join phono RCA sockets, which is rare at this price point of £999.
