Hi-res portable audio experts Astell&Kern has kicked off 2022 with the launch of its ACRO CA1000 dedicated headphone amplifier.
The ACRO CA1000 sports a 4.1-inch, 720 x 1280px touchscreen and can be tilted up to 60 degrees. Its built-in battery provides up to 10.5 hours of playback
Wired headphones are well catered for thanks to unbalanced 3.5mm/6.35mm and balanced 2.5mm/4.4mm outputs, served by a four step gain level to drive high impedance cans with a 15Vrms or lower output.
Analogue and digital connections are nestled alongside data connections
Inside the CRO CA1000 beats an ESS ES9068AS Quad-DAC supporting playback up to DSD512 and 32bit/384 kHz LPCM, plus Bluetooth 5.0 support 24-bit aptX HD and LDAC codecs.
