Diddy Denton

Wharfedale is continuing to build out its reborn Denton line, and its latest model has been given a distinctly modern twist.

Like its Denton 1 ancestor of 1974, the new Denton 1S also sports a coaxial drive unit in a two-way design, formed from the very latest materials making it fresh for 2026.

These include a 165mm mid/bass cone made from enhanced polypropylene, working in unison with a 25mm silk-dome tweeter, positioned at its centre

Add to this a rear bass reflex port that’s double-flared, with a soft rubber material on the inner flare to reduces turbulence, plus rear mounting points for on-wall installation and this looks like a very versatile small speaker indeed.
