Franco Serblin, the founder behind Sonus Faber with his namesake company now under the stewardship of his son-in-law, has released its latest loudspeaker masterpiece, the new Accordo Goldberg.
Taking its name from Bach’s Goldberg Variations, its design is inspiration comes from the Accordo standmount speaker. It hosts and a 29mm silk dome tweeter by Ragnar Lian and a 180mm mid/bass driver with a microsphere cone and aluminium dust cap.
The speaker’s luxurious solid walnut cabinet is inspired by the design of fine stringed instruments, with an asymmetric shape and aluminium-magnesium decouplers to eradicating the effects of internal standing waves and cabinet resonance.
Handcrafted in Italy with signature Serblin touches including an etched chrome and ‘string’ grille, the Franco Serblin Accordo Goldberg costs £8,888 with matching floor stands at £2,798.
