South Korea’s HiFi Rose has announced its latest product that’s destined for UK shores.

The RA280 integrated amplifier builds on the brand’s flagship RA180 model in a slimmed down package.

Featuring four line-level and one set of balanced inputs, it also packs a moving-magnet phono stage and subwoofer output.

With 2x250W on tap into 8 ohms, its internal circuitry is built around the brand’s Class AD (Advanced Class D) tech, with Gallium Nitride FETs and separate amplifier modules for each channel.

Its power stage makes use of a two-stage analogue filter to reduce carrier noise that’s inherent in switch-mode Class D amps for a cleaner sound.

The brand’s distinctive retro-industrial styling is in full effect too, with dimmable VU meters and tone controls, making it standout from the crowd.
