Get colourful

Following its move to a new Wiltshire factory, Edwards Audio has announced what’s set to be first flurry of many new products.

The Edwards Audio IA1 Integrated amplifier and its smaller fully manual Apprentice IA brother stem from three years research and development, and are designed to match the brand’s turntables and phono stages.

Edwards Apprentice IA

Their diminutive cases house dedicated moving magnet phono stages alongside two line-level inputs plus a front panel 3.5mm input and 6.35mm headphone socket. There’s also a volume remote control for the IA1 model.

Offering 30W into 8 ohms, users can specify an optional AptX HD Bluetooth input card and fixed or variable pre output.

Available in black, white, red, blue, grey and green colour options, the IA1 costs £429.95 and the Apprentice IA costs £369.95 in standard guise.
