Vertere DG-X

Get into the groove

Vinyl veteran Vertere has announced its newly reimagined DG X record player.

Boasting a new easily removable double 5-layer polymer-bonded Groove Runner X tonearm with Vertere Pulse internal wiring, the deck can be fully set up in just 10 minutes.

Other Vertere tech includes a precision-engineered tonearm bearing, which integrates the main counterweight and front weight, ensures the ideal effective mass for optimal cartridge matching.

Upgrades to the main bearing, motor drive and suspension are also on the menu, with the motor being a low voltage precision synchronous design that’s derived from the one developed for the flagship RG-1 Reference.

Its drive control circuit is Vertere’s most advanced yet, thanks to a programmable microprocessor with a D/A converter to provide low distortion sine and cosine waves that are used to turn the motor. These signals are then amplified using two bridged-balanced amplifiers, which control the motor’s every move.

The platter is formed from precision-machined alloy with a bonded PETG record interface mat. An aluminium disc on its underside is there to control platter resonance, while a cork/Neoprene/nitrile disc protects the acrylic plinth.

The new standard Vertere DG X package with the Groove Runner X tonearm and Sabre Lite MM cartridge costs £4,150. Visit vertereacoustics.com to find out more.
