Go Velsonic

After being previewed at the recent Audio Show Deluxe, AVID has now officially released its twin box Velsonic phono stage.

AVID Velsonic

Billed as its first new phono preamp in over a decade, it draws on developments from the company’s Reference Pre Amplifier plus proven architecture of AVID’s Pulsare II, with bespoke components and tech of its own, including a precision-engineered chassis with new isolation feet.

A fully analogue, dual-mono design, it intentionally eschews any digital circuitry to preserve signal purity.

Via its easy to easy front panel rotary dials are a wide range of gain and load settings, catering for a raft of cartridges, fed from optimised signal paths and an enhanced power supply.

Fully balanced connectivity is also on the menu, for both its inputs and outputs.
