Pro-Ject X8 turntable and S3 B phono stage

Pro-Ject Audio has announced a new dedicated balanced product line to its vinyl replay range.

The True Balanced Connection range includes the X8 turntable at £2,099, which is a mass-loaded design with precision-lathed aluminium main platter and 9″ Evolution carbon fibre tonearm. It also comes fitted with an Ortofon Quintet Blue moving-coil cartridge and a semi-balanced Connect-IT E 5P RCA phono cable that can be upgraded to a 5pin XLR option.

Costing £529, the Phono Box DS3 B is a dual-mono, fully discrete moving magnet and moving coil phono stage with balanced inputs and outputs plus a host of customisable features including gain, capacitance and impedance settings across a range of values, with dual inputs and memory settings,

Priced at £349, the Phono Box S3 B is a more affordable moving-magnet and moving-coil phono stage with a dual mono layout, discrete circuitry, five impedance, four capacitance and four gain settings plus balanced inputs and outputs.
