Musical Fidelity must have read out minds when we recently reviewed its Nu-Vista pre/power amps and speculated that more standalone source components must surely be in the works.

As hot off the hifi press comes the news of a new dedicated DAC and phono stage.

Nu-Vista DAC

Armed with eight 7586 output nuvistor devices, the Nu-Vista DAC is built around an ESS 32-bit HyperStream II circuit with two ES9038Q2M DAC chips in dual differential mode, making it a dual-mono design.

Alongside USB sits three optical, one coaxial S/PDIF and one AES/EBU input, while both line-level (RCA) and balanced (XLR) outputs are offer.
