Acoustic Energy has announced its new AE Active loudspeaker.
Like the AE1 Active that it replaces, the new AE Active is a two-way standmount loudspeaker, featuring dual 50W Class AB internal amplifiers, dedicated to each of its drivers.
These come sporting Acoustic Energy’s new signature pure-piston ceramic/aluminium cone for its mid/bass driver, recently developed for the brand’s AE1 40th Anniversary model
On high frequency duties beats a precision engineered aluminium dome tweeter that’s enhanced by AE’s proprietary Wide Dispersion Technology (WDT) for a wide and immersive soundstage.
Offering both balanced XLR and RCA inputs and clad in a choice of walnut satin wood veneer, high gloss black and high gloss white finishes, the AE Active costse £1,250 per pair.
