Sound Design Distribution (SDD) and Karma-AV are teaming up to showcase a range of hot new products at this year’s Highend Munich show.
The line-up includes Grimm Audio‘s MU2 all-in-one streaming preamp, featuring Grimm’s Major DAC digital to analogue converter using the brand’s proprietary discrete DAC hardware. Operating as a hybrid of single-bit (bitstream) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) conversion, it uses 1.5 bit architecture with advanced digital filters for new levels of micro resolution.
Lumin‘s U2 is a next gen streaming transport that takes its chassis construction, linear power supply design and dual-network from the Lumin P1, with integrated DSD512 and PCM768 playback. Connectivity includes three USB ports plus a Leedh Processing lossless volume control.
MoFi‘s SourcePoint 10 and SourcePoint 8 speakers from its Chief Speaker Designer Andrew Jones make a visual statement, featuring Andrew’s signature 10″ and 8″ concentric drivers with 1.25″ soft dome tweeters and MoFi’s innovative Twin-Drive high-flux magnet structure.
MoFi’s MasterPhono phono stage, designed by Peter Madnick, is discretely built and fully balanced and high bandwidth design with FET transistors and dedicated power for left and right channels. Joining this, the MasterDeck turntable sports a 25cm tonearm with built-in gimbal stabiliser plus fine-tuning for 33, 45 and 78rpm via a four-digit display.
Mola Mola will be presenting its new Lupe phono stage and Perca stereo amp.
Based on the phono stage from the Makua pre amplifier the Lupe features independent and optimised MC/MM input stages plus gain options in 5dB steps over a 40dB range. Input resistance and capacitance are individually switchable with all settings being software controllable. The Perca stereo power amplifier comes housed in a half size chassis with 150W on tap into 8 ohms.
