High quality headphone expert Meze Audio has unpacked its latest over-ear headphones, title Strada.
A closed-back design with a chassis inspired by the brand’s Liric line, the Strada sports earcups formed from ebony, attached to a hand-painted dark-green metallic frame with copper accents, to set them apart from the usual plastic and alloy can crowd.
On music making duties beat dynamic carbon fibre-reinforced cellulose composite drivers first introduced in the 109 PRO, now tuned for closed-back performance.
Its surrounding torus is formed from a semicrystalline polymer coated with beryllium via Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) for enhanced stiffness, durability, and transient response. Added to this are precision-cut 45.5° grooves and a copper-zinc alloy stabiliser around the membrane to minimise distortion.
