Henley Audio has announced the UK launch of Klipsch’s active R-40PM and Klipsch R-50PM reference monitor loudspeakers.
Powered from a single mains source into the right speaker, which then links to the left speaker via a dedicated cable, both models can also connect to a range of sources including external streamers, CD players and TVs. Vinyl fans won’t be left wanting either as both models feature internal phono stages.
Klipsch R-50PM
The these two active monitors join their passive R-40M and R-50M brethren with the R-40PM reaching down to a claimed 60Hz and the R-50PM doing even lower to 55Hz, thanks to deeper cabinets than the models they’re replacing.
Klipsch R-40PM
Both models also sport larger edge-to-edge proprietary Tractrix horns which look pure Klipsch. Inside the R-40PM beats a 70W amp driving a 100mm woofer and 25mm aluminium tweeter. The R-50PM gets a more powerful 120W amp and larger 130mm woofer.
