Rotel is back in the speaker game

Rotel is dipping its it hifi toe back in the loudspeaker market, thanks to its new Amora 5, two-way passive standmounter.

Developed to integrate naturally with Rotel’s electronics (while also, of course, being able to perform in any quality audio system), the Amora 5 boasts carefully crafted drive units and a precision-tuned crossover in a rigid MDF enclosure.

Its air-moving hardware is comprised of a 1″ (25mm) silk-dome tweeter and 6.5″ (165mm) woven-fiber composite midrange/bass driver, combining with a rear firing bass port for a frequency response from 48Hz to 28Hz.

The tweeter comes mounted within an aluminium surround ring with a geometrically shaped ABS faceplate to minimise diffraction, while the bass woofer uses a rigid aluminium frame to maintain mechanical stability and driver alignment.
