Ortofon is continuing to fly the flag for mass market quality vinyl with its new MC X moving-coil cartridge range, as the successor to its Quintet series.
The four-strong line-up includes the flagship MC X40, with the X30, X20 and X10 below at descending price points. Features include high-purity silver coil wire, Metal Injection Molding (MIM) chassis with stainless-steel frame and PVD surface treatment, plus optimised magnet system and custom developed rubber dampers.
The MC X40 boasts a Nude Shibata stylus with boron cantilever, while the other models sport aluminium cantilevers with a Nude Fine-Line stylus for the X30, Nude Elliptical for the X20 and Elliptical for the X10.
