Dan D’Agostino is making access to his renowned hifi hardware that bit more attainable, thanks to the introduction of its new Pendulum Integrated Amplifier.
Despite sitting outside of the brand’s aspirational Master Audio System ranges, the Pendulum still screams D’Agostino DNA with a circular LCD display (with matching remote) incorporating a digital representation of analogue meters, surrounded by aluminium casework with signature copper trim.
Its output is rated at 120W per channel into 8 ohms (240W into 4 ohms), while under its hood lurks a custom toroidal transformer rated at 750VA, complemented by a 25,000 μF capacitor bank.
Other tech includes a re-engineered application of the JFET input circuit topology from the brand’s Momentum C2 Preamp, plus an all-balanced, direct-coupled, complementary signal path.
The Pendulum sports four line-level analogue inputs as standard (three balanced stereo XLR, plus one stereo RCA) and costs £18,000. Optional upgrades include a factory-fitted moving-coil phono stage at £1,150 and an optional digital module offering a hi-res streaming DAC with HDMI, optical, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity at £2,850.
