Cambridge Audio has announced its new MXW70 compact power amp.
Designed as a half-width partner for the brand’s compact component range, including its award-winning MXN10 music streamer/digital preamp, the MXW70 boasts a full 70W of Hypex NCORE Class D stereo power into 8 ohms.
Added to this, the MXW70 can also be bridged into mono mode via a simple switch, unlocking a full 250W, and providing an obvious upgrade path by running two MXW70s in parallel, as part of a dual-mono compact stereo system.
Belying its £499 price tag, the MXW70 also gets balanced XLR inputs, alongside single-ended RCAs.
